Breakfast had been my daily pleasure during my stay in the countryside. Now being in Seoul, I hardly have breakfast. This morning, I found myself smiling and joyful with a simple plate with vegetables and bread. Homemade bread!
Good wine, good food, they are not in daily events. In particular, it is a rare moment that the tasting buds and all the senses of the body arise with a sip of wine. It hardly happens, but this was the day. Started with cheap but savoury white wine from the South West region of […]
A friend has made tiramisu at home and brought some to share. Tiramisu seems widely appreciated in Korea and beloved by many youngsters. But sadly, most of the tiramisu makers use, if not the cheapest, cheap ingredients. As a result, it is difficult to get the real virtue of the ‘tiramisu’. Strong sweetness and artificially […]
I had a very pleasing salad this morning. The salad was only greens. But this time with a bunch of rucola. The taste and the flavour, all the greens were exceptional with olive-oil-based Mediterranean sauce. Baby rucola, in particular, was a rare taste. Ok-BanSang in Pilundong nearby Gyeongbokgung Palace. A new stylish Korean restaurant is serving meat soup with whisky or soju. I liked Dogani-Tang(Cow knee joint soup). Besides, Rice and two sorts of kimchi were hardly enjoyable. Two other menus ordered – Cockle Muchim and Cow knee Muchim – were not mistaken, albeit not entirely satisfied. I […]
Yesterday, I was quite obliged not to eat anything. After daytime fasting, I had a few Swedish biscuits and a homemade yoghurt around 9 in the evening. A single meal for the day. My blood glucose level downed a bit without any medication. This morning, reading news articles, I found that it was the beginning […]
