Dongaseu(Korean name of Japanese tonkatsu) is like a must food for almost all Koreans. As the Koreans do love it so much, there are many dongaseu restaurants in every corner of Korea. But such many numbers do not provide good places for it.
The dongaseu house I’ve been today was not the one to visit again solely to try it, but with little money or when living nearby, it’s entirely fair to recommend the place.
Above all, the price and quantity! Double pork cutlet and only 7,000 won. The quality was far, far better than I had a few weeks ago at Jeju airport. The sauce they say housemade, was not aggressive, as many restaurants practice and the thickness of the meat was acceptable. The downside was the quality and clothing of the pork. The pork was not exceptional, and its covering was a kind of cliche, which I would like more if a bit thinner.
The dongaseu house is in the downtown of Cherwon, located in the North and a bit away from Seoul. You may have already found the name and phone number in a photo above if you like.
