I tried a menu from a brand new restaurant near my office. It’s “Ssaumeu Gosoob(싸움의 고수)” in Korean.
While I was waiting for mine to take out, a group of people were immersed in enjoying theirs with chomping sounds. They all looked happy, and a man uttered out of the noise and said the food was excellent. The others agreed. Getting out of the restaurant, some of them expressed their gratitude to the staff for the superb food.
Back to the office with the menu, I opened and looked at it. Then I glared a while and depressed by the underprivileged look of every portion of the tray.
Tasting one by one, I felt an unusual sense of regret for the men I saw a few minutes ago at the restaurant. I wondered why and how they could be such happy with the almost the same food.
They live in the same space and breathe the same air as me, but it seems that they live and share in a different sphere, so I felt.
For very long days I haven’t posted any on the site. However, it was imperative for me to write a post after the incident.
Bitterness and sadness keep on residing in the heart and hard to get rid of the feeling.
